Without meaning to sound negative, Im not sure that the type works. To me it doesn't say nail salon. I feel its a bit too bold and bulky where I would imagine what you are trying to convey is elegance etc???

Also I think the hand is a bit obvious, as someone stated above.

If I were you I would perhaps brainstorm what I am trying to portray and try thinking of how the imagery can be 'dfferent' ie span off from hands, nails etc?? Also consider how this would look when scaled down for use on different media, business card etc, the hand would lose a lot of the detail and definition

I think the colour scheme is really nice and you have a good start, sorry if I have seemed harsh but hopefully constructive??

Good luck with the design Smile

I agree with Susan84 in that the font being used is quite heavy and it may be worth experimenting with some other typefaces for different approaches to touching up the logo.

Okay, I was not up to much (and I've had some wine and Whiskey - (NOT together)) so just threw together another random concept. This is as an example of how a different type face may aid your design and while criticism has aided in the development, using a hand as the focused image may not be necessary.

Very good and creative the logo is good but not too keen on the font used for the taglines cause its a stroner type than the logo is

hey keesha,
i don't think the 1st set of logos work and even the 2nd attempt really, although the font is nice, it's not elegant enough for a nail shop logo.
The hands on each others, is nice but i think if you experiment enough, you can get a really nice logo.
Look at your font and also look at a plain simple vector image, it doesn't have to be of hands or nails, but something abstract but elegant and stylish.

The second design with folded hands look much better, but the fact is its dull in appearance.
